Document scanning with Calyx Point is not very efficient. Documents must be scanned one at a time and the user needs to manually enter the document title and description on each one. For most companies this approach is impractical, and if they do any scanning at all it usually means putting the entire loan in one or two very large PDF files. When you need to find a document you must flip through hundreds of pages to find the right one. It is impossible to re-sort the documents to create "stack orders" that are required by your bank.

LoanStacker lets you take full advantage of the document repository in Calyx Point by streamlining the process of scanning and naming individual documents with OCR and barcode recognition. Once documents are identified they can be automatically linked to processing tasks and the built-in stack ordering feature becomes usable.

Until a direct interface can be developed for Calyx Point, users must drag and drop the exported files from LoanStacker to get them into Point. You still need to select the document title from a list for each one, but the description is already there and matches the correct document title. Though it could be much faster if Point was able to automate this step, the batch scanning features of LoanStacker make the process up to 10 times faster than the built-in scanning interface.
